Several events are planned to mark National Poetry Day 2010 on Friday, July 30th.
In the lead-up to the day, Hamilton City Libraries are running a haiku poetry competition and will have a poetry wall where poets can display their work, while Waikato Museum are running a poetry hunt around the city.
On the day itself, there will be a launch at Garden Place Library at 12.15pm, with guests reading poetry printed on posters supplied by Phantom Posters. This will be followed at night with an open mike poetry night at Garden Place Library at 6.30pm. Poets are welcome to attend and read their poems.
Look out for details on our website in early July.
